NEX-i ("nex-eye") A ceiling surgical lamp of a design that blends in well with its surroundings, instantly and easily controlled with an infra-red beam signal emitted from its hand-held EC remote control. NEX-i Available as a single lamp unit or as a combination of several lamps, makes this surgical lamp ideal lighting system for ICU, LDR, birthing rooms in human or veterinary hospitals and clinics. NEX-i Special Features... Several surgical lamps in the same room can be synchronized and focused on one light field at the surgical or examinationsite and easily operated with the same Emit Conductor (Auto Wand Remote), independently or together. Emit Conductor (Auto Wand Remote) The operation panel of EC remote control provides three buttons (A, S, B) for three operation modes controlled by an infra-red beam emitted from EC remote and aimed at the FEA sensor positioned next to the surgical lamp in the ceiling to adjust the surgical lamp accurately to the desired position.with a single lamp installation, press A button and move the remote to adjust the position of the lamp. With two or more lamps, press the S (Synchro) button to enter the synchro mode and then adjust the position of the lamps together, or press the A or B button to adjust the A or B lamp, or the A or B group if paired lamps are used. The power button and intensity button are used to operate all the surgical lamps together. |
FEA Sensor The FEA, "Fish Eye Alley", sensor is embedded in the center of the surgical lamp, receives the digital infra-red beam emitted from the EC remote control, peocesses it instantly, and then uses this data to drive the gyro mechanism that adjusts the position of the light. Range and High Luminescence A large cold mirror reflector (205 mm) and Super Halogen 24V-100W bulb are used together to provide a quality shadowless, cool beam of light approximately 20 cm in diameter of approximately 30,000 lux up to 1.7 meters away from the lamp head.The gyro mechnism responds to control within 2 m directly below and within a phenomenal lateral radius of up to 5 m below the lamp head.
