Material: Stainless Steel Filaments made to a Rasp on which Diamond abrasive grains are impregnated

Indications: For cutting bone or yellow ligament in orthopedic surgeries.

Contra-indications: Don't use in patients with allergy to stainless steel or its constituent metals like Nickel.

General Instructions: 1. This material is a medical device to be handled by qualified physicians as warranted by the laws of the place of use. 2. This is a product for single use and therefore resterilization and reuse are strictly prohibited. 3. Don't use if the packing is damaged or opened. 4. Being a medical device, which comes into contact with body fluids, it has to be treated and disposed as a biomedical waste after usage.

Warning to the users: 1. This product having a very thin edge and the diamond abrasive grains impregnated on it, the medical and paramedical personnel have to handle with care not to injure their hands or damage the gloves with this instrument. 2. As the flexibility of this stainless steel filament rasp is limited, when subjected to extreme flexion, kinked, twisted or bent at acute angles, there are possibilities that this may break, and hence necessary caution should be exercised. 3. The handling surgeons are warranted to have adequate experience in performing the procedure and also enough exposure in handling this device, to prevent damage to the instrument while handling or themselves or to the patient. 4. As the product comes in close contact with nerve structures, adequate precaution has to be taken while handling, not to damage the nerve structures, especially to see that the rasp is not subjected to acute angle of bending while cutting, as any breakage during usage is likely to cause damage to the surrounding structures especially the nerves. 5. It is recommended that a medical grade Polypropylene or Polyethylene sheet or thin film is placed between the nerve structures or spinal cord and the rasp to avoid damage.
